Thompson | Dorfman teamed up with KTGY Group Inc. as the project architect, in collaboration with Kwan Henmi as the concept design architect, to create this eco-friendly, transit-oriented luxury development. Conveniently named after its location, 555 Ygnacio Valley Road, in Walnut Creek, CA, it features luxury finishes, stainless steel appliances and expansive floor-to-ceiling windows. Located walking distance from trendy shops, hip restaurants and transit links to the surrounding Bay Area, 555YVR creates an exciting urban lifestyle in a thriving suburban setting. Residents have full access to a state-of-the-art media room, private fitness center, expansive landscaped courtyard and the sky lounge, a rooftop terrace with an outdoor kitchen and a 360-span view of the San Ramon Valley and Mount Diablo. Residents also have parking and storage in a gated 170-space garage.

All parties who took part in the creation of this development are pleased with its success, with more than a quarter of the units already reserved or sold. “We are thrilled to advance a growing trend toward downtown living in Walnut Creek,” said Bruce Dorfman, principal of Thompson | Dorfman Partners, who have been Bay Area developers for more than two decades. “There is nothing like this in downtown Walnut Creek or in the I-680 corridor,” he said.

The architecture by KTGY was decidedly contemporary, with ecofriendly features including natural lighting and passive solar heating.

“555YVR’s sustainable design and lower energy bills and pedestrianfriendly location increase affordability for residents, which is more important than ever in today’s challenging economic climate,” said Stan Braden, AIA, NCARB, chairman and principal of KTGY.
